Jess Plant

Oliver’s Training Co-Trainer

Jess Plant is an Autistic Co-Trainer for the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism, bringing both lived experience and professional expertise to her work. As an autistic trainer with experience in peer support, co-production, and adult social care collaboration, Jess delivers training that is honest, reflective, and rooted in real-world practice.

Drawing on her background as a former unpaid carer for her late Mum, alongside her own experience of disability and neurodivergence, Jess supports health and social care professionals to better understand the human realities behind policy, diagnosis, and service delivery. She is passionate about improving communication, challenging stigma, and promoting accessible, person-centred care.

Jess is particularly committed to ensuring autistic voices are heard in professional spaces and believes meaningful change happens when lived experience and professional learning come together with respect and openness
